I am an interdisciplinary, socially engaged artist, working across drawing, printmaking, ceramics, video and installation. I create spaces where audiences are invited to reflect, create, perform and interact with others.
My background in social activism means that I develop projects that communicate politically, but are primarily spaces for thinking and instigating dialogue. For the Connecting Hearts Project, hundreds of ceramic anatomical hearts have been produced in artist-led workshops in Australia and in the UK. Installations of hearts in Sydney and in London invite audiences to step into a space and reflect, through touch, on their connection to migration, belonging and people seeking asylum across the globe.
I hold a Masters of Fine Art from the National Art School, Sydney. My work is held in private and public collections, including the Migration Museum, London, the Owen and Wagner Collection at the Hood Museum, Dartmouth University USA and the National Art School Archives.
